Her entire life, she had been surrounded by people who WERE amazing - her best friends. Now, Lor wasn't saying that her friends were superior just because she cared for them. Oh, no. The thing was that they truly were exceptional in everything they did. Most of them were highly gifted students, receiving nothing lower than 90s on their report cards, excelling in everything they did, each of them attractive, all unlike her. Those who were unable to do that made up for it in other ways... they were able to do things with music, or art, or drama and cameras that Esmeralda could never do.
